Singer Alanis Morissette has given birth to a healthy baby boy.
The Canadian-American singer and her rapper husband Mario 'Souleye' Treadway welcomed Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway on Christmas Day.
'All are healthy and happy,' a spokesman for the 36-year-old star told UsMagazine.com.
The 36-year-old announced in August that she was expecting her first child via a popular weekly magazine column.
Alanis and 30-year-old Mario, a rapper, married back in May after eight-months together.
After the magazine announcement in August, Morissette took to her Twitter to confirm the news.
'Yes, happy news....I'm pregnant :) we're so excited to start our family,' she wrote.
It later emerged that she was expecting a baby boy.
She appeared to enjoyed her time as an expectant mother and was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, always with a huge smile on her face.
Being pregnant has not stopped her from working however. She admitted that she has been keeping herself busy writing a new book. 'I'm in the middle of writing a book that is part psychology, part philosophy, part spirituality, part Q&A, part prose, part art...and is not a memoir,' she told Us Weekly recently. She is also due to reprise her role as no-nonsense obstetrician Dr Audra Kitson in hit U.S. TV drama series Weeds when it returns next year.
