Casper, Wyo. (AFP) - An investigating judge in Wyoming says skier five years), who died in a crash with a boarder was wearing a helmet, contrary to reports officials earlier.
Natrona County Detective Connie Jacobson says the girl, Elise Johnson, 22-year-old Craig Shirley, died of internal injuries from sharp force trauma.
Witnesses said Shirley and ice skating at high speed Friday in Hogadon (HO '- guh - dun) ski area when he collided with Elise and her mother. Mother and daughter stopped in the middle of turns black, and that was compiled difficult.
The hospital was the mother. Name was not released.
Officials said at the outset no one was wearing a helmet, but Jacobson said Monday that the Elise was wearing one. Elise had skied for three years, and her mother is also an experienced skier.
