The group is also urging people to contact the show's sponsor, Taco Bell, in protest.

One day after it was reported Viacom executives ordered producers to tone down its racy teen drama, the Parents Television Council has announced it's urging the Department of Justice and U.S. Senate and House Judiciary Committees to open an investigation.

"In addition to the sexual content on the show involving cast members as young as 15, PTC counted 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the premiere episode," the group wrote in a letter to the government organizations.

"It is clear that Viacom has knowingly produced material that may well be in violation of [several anti-child pornography laws]," added the PTC, which earlier called the show "the most dangerous program ever for children."

The group is also urging a boycott of Taco Bell, one of the show's sponsors.

The New York Times reported that a number of executives met on Tuesday over concerns the show could violate pornography laws.

While MTV did not confirm that, a rep for the network said, "Skins is a show that addresses real-world issues confronting teens in a frank way. We review all of our shows and work with all of our producers on an ongoing basis to ensure our shows comply with laws and community standards. We are confident that the episodes of ‘Skins’ will not only comply with all applicable legal requirements, but also with our responsibilities to our viewers.”

(CNN) -- Mexican pop singer Kalimba was deported from the United States to Mexico after U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested him for an immigration violation, state media reported.
Mexican pop singer Kalimba, pictured in 2004, was deported
from the U.S. after being charged with rape in Mexico.

He was arrested in El Paso, Texas, Thursday afternoon, U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Ramiro Cordero said.

On Wednesday, a judge in the state of Quintana Roo issued an arrest warrant for the singer, whose full name is Kalimba Kadjhali Marichal Ibar, according to the state-run Notimex news agency. Prosecutors allege that he raped a teen there in December.

In an interview with CNN affiliate Televisa earlier this month, Kalimba denied the accusations and said he had not attacked anyone.

"There are many details that are very easy to criticize, judge or imagine," he said, but he urged the public to use logic when considering the case, which has received extensive coverage in Mexican media.

She's Jim Carrey's Next Top Model!

Kim Richards was checked into rehab by her family following her heated fight with sister Kyle on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' (Thu., 9PM ET on BRAVO). A week later, she checked herself out.
During the finale of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' Kyle and Kim Richards started arguing at Taylor's birthday party. Kim left for the comfort of her limo, only to have Kyle join her, whereupon the fight escalated.

"Mom had to die ... and leave this [beep] on my shoulders," Kyle said on the season finale. "You are so sick. My husband has helped you every month and stood by you and taken care of you, OK, like you're his second [beep] wife!"
Kim cowered in the corner of the limo and refused to agree that Kyle had done "everything" for her.

As Adrienne failed to placate either of them, Kyle yelled, "You are a liar ... [and] you are an alcoholic! Yeah, that's right. I've said it now and everybody knows." Kyle stormed out of the limo and concluded, "You are on your own now."

According to Bravo, Kyle and Kim have not spoken since the blowout.

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Venus Williams lasted just seven points in her third-round match Friday at the Australian Open, forced to withdraw due to injury from a Grand Slam singles match for the first time in her career.
After losing the first game to Andrea Petkovic of Germany and trailing 30-0 in the second, Williams stretched to her right to return a serve, hit the ball and then cried out in pain, clutching toward her stomach on her right side. It was soon clear that she couldn't continue.

"Obviously I just couldn't play," Williams said. "I couldn't move, it was too painful."

Her right thigh was already heavily bandaged from an injury she sustained in the first set of her second-round match Wednesday, when she beat Sandra Zahlavova in three sets. Afterward, Williams said the injury was in her "psoas" muscle, which flexes the hip and spinal column.

"The last 48 hours, I just did as much pain management as I could," she said. "A lot of times when you play, you get that adrenaline and that blocks pain. I just didn't get enough of that today. I was hoping for some magic that I could recover."

Williams waved to the Rod Laver Arena crowd and appeared to be on the verge of tears as she walked off the court. Her younger sister, defending champion Serena, didn't even make it to Melbourne Park because of a foot injury.
