The Iraqi parliament unanimously approved the formation of a new government headed by Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki - Baghdad (AFP).

The long-awaited vote on the new government, ending nine months of political deadlock after inconclusive parliamentary elections in March

Lawmakers approved a total of 29 ministers, including al-Maliki to form a new government.

And consists of the rest of the 42-member cabinet of ministers acting at the moment.

BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraqi women protest against the lawmakers in the parliament against the new government and mostly male.
