Rafael Nadal will meet Roger Federer in the final of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship after they both won their semi-final clashes in Abu Dhabi.

Nadal had the easier time of things as he beat Tomas Berdych 6-4 6-4 in repeat of this year's Wimbledon final.

It was tougher for Federer against Robin Soderling though, he dropped the first set 7-3 in a tie-break before racing back to win 6-7 6-3 6-3.

Federer had lost to Soderling at the same stage last year, but he has now qualified for the final for the first time in the invitational tournament's short three year history.

Nadal is the defending champion of the tournament that has a winner-takes-all $250,000 first prize.
